Cancellation & Refund Policy
We plan TAPER months in advance. Many of our commitments are locked in long before we arrive in San Antonio, including the venue, food and beverage, AV, speakers, CLE services, and materials. This policy lets us deliver the experience you’re registering for and keeps things fair for everyone in the room.
Refunds
Cancellations received before Monday September 21st get a refund, minus a $75 administrative fee. That date is 30 days before the October 20th registration deadline. Refunds go back to your original form of payment.
After the refund cutoff
Cancellations received on or after Monday September 21st are not eligible for a refund. This includes cancellations made after registration closes.
No-shows
Registrants who don't attend are not eligible for a refund.
Transferring your registration
If you can’t attend, you may be able to transfer your registration to another eligible member of your firm. Transfers require approval from the LWP Events team. Please ask as early as possible, because we can’t guarantee a transfer once final event preparations are underway.
How to cancel or request a transfer
Email aross@lawyerswithpurpose.com with the registrant’s name, your firm name, and whether you’re cancelling or transferring. For a transfer, include the new attendee’s name and email. Your cancellation date is the date we receive your request.
If LWP cancels the event
If LWP cancels TAPER, we'll decide on the appropriate refund or registration credit and contact all registrants directly.
Travel and hotel
Your registration fee doesn’t cover travel, hotel, or other expenses you book yourself, and those costs are your responsibility unless LWP tells you otherwise. Hotel reservations in the TAPER room block follow the hotel’s own cancellation policy.
